NaNo 2005 Chapter TwoOdyssey sat there, gazing down into her eyes, wondering what words had just escaped his lips. He didn’t even know this girl and here he was, promising never to leave her. He should be of his own free will to come and go as he wished! Why was he suddenly caring for others, wanting to take care of them, and make them feel safe? Why now? Why this girl? Sitara smiled weakly up at him. She tried to rise but on fell back into Odyssey’s lap. She sighed heavily but he quieted her and went back to stroking her dark hair, slowly untangling it between his fingers, gently though, so as not to cause her pain. NaNo 2005 Chapter OneOdyssey led his band of thieves through the fog as the sun rose over the horizon, only to be met with dreary, gray clouds. They had been walking for a few hours now, exploring the regions to the north of their guild. Far as they knew the area was uninhabited, but there could always be pockets of civilization, and thus, people to rob. “What have we here?” Odyssey said at last, his tone surprised and mildly wicked, upon seeing what appeared to be a village atop the distant hill. Perhaps it had been a hallucination, the fog was rather thick, but none the less he and his band of thieves pressed on toward the promise of civilization, fNaNo 2005 Chapter One
